We all have to think differently to ensure we are in the strongest possible position to address any challenges ahead – working smarter, not harder. That’s why it’s so important to give everyone, at every level, the opportunity to access the skills they need to lead change.
We have created “Newcastle Improvement” – bringing together the expertise of the service improvement and transformation team (SITT), transformation and financial improvement team (TFIT) and quality improvement. Since being established in 2020, the team has supported a culture of continuous quality improvement in many different areas to facilitate service and quality improvements, not just across Newcastle Hospitals but further afield.
The Newcastle Improvement team were awarded the Celebrating Excellence Award for Partnership Working in September 2022 to celebrate their work and the improvements of all the teams they’ve supported.
