The Healthcare Academy and Patient Care programme introduces newly appointed Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to Newcastle Trust.
The programme begins with a welcome to our Trust and an overview of our vision and values.
It also enables new HCAs to fully explore their role, with the opportunity to develop and practice their new skills and knowledge in a classroom and clinical teaching facility. They are given the opportunity to learn with many of the items of clinical equipment they will see or use in their working environment, before commencing work in one of the Trust’s clinical areas.
