Take to the streets or participate at home. You can run, walk, cycle, swim – simply cover at least 70 kilometers, any way you choose throughout June 2022. It’s your discipline, your goal.
The challenge is a light-hearted opportunity for us all to move a bit more. We have even developed a royal map that covers 70k around London landmarks – so you can monitor your progress and have some fun tracking yourself along the way.
It’s your challenge – your way – and there is something for everyone. Complete it solo, with friends, family or colleagues.
You could split the distance over the month – from daily dog walks, school runs or generally going about your daily business at work or home.
Or you could mix and match the miles to keep it interesting. You could run one day, swim the next – or even put on some roller skates!
The option to push yourself and complete the 70k challenge in one day is an alternative too!
It’s easy to track your progress towards your 70k target using a number of apps, including Strava or Map My Run / Walk / Ride. You can access information on how to set these up here:
When you complete your 70k, email [email protected] with proof of your mileage and to claim your royal certificate. Share your success on social media and encourage others to move more this June.
