Emotional support sessions

Newcastle OHS offer a range of support options for staff experiencing common mental health problems or challenging life event, including access to brief counselling and psychological therapies.

The service is confidential and employees can access the service by completing a self-referral form and returning it to newcastle.ohs@nhs.net. A short telephone appointment will be arranged with a member of the team to discuss your needs and establish whether the service would be useful for you. We can also signpost you to other specialist services if appropriate. No information is shared with your manager from this area of the service.

Please note that this is not an urgent care service and we would usually suggest that if you have urgent concerns you discuss this with your GP in the first instance.
